MPavilion 2017

MPavilion is an event hub, a meeting place, a temporary landmark, a spontaneous detour and a starting point. The fourth MPavilion, arriving in spring 2017, will be designed by Netherlands–based architects Rem Koolhaas and David Gianotten of OMA. A creator of modern architectural icons, OMA is a prolific international practice of worldwide distinction and influence. MPavilion continues OMA’s history of successful and influential architectural and cultural projects and MPavilion 2017 will be their first-ever completed Australian architectural commission. Read more about OMA and MPavilion 2017 today on our news post. Stay tuned to our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for last-minute programming updates and great photos from around the place. See you in the gardens!

Wominjeka (Welcome). MPavilion acknowledges the Yalukit Wilum as the traditional custodians of the land on which we meet. Yalukit Wilum means ‘people of the river camp’ and is connected with the coastal land at the head of Port Phillip Bay, extending from the Werribee River to Mordialloc. The Yalukit Wilum are part of the Boon Wurrung, one of the five major language groups of the greater Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to the land, their ancestors and their elders, past, present and to the future.
