Before the arrival of their new participatory performance Fun Run at Arts Centre Melbourne, All The Queens Men visit us to lead a free flash mob dance workshop. Come for this workshop and learn a simple, but fabulously fun, dance routine. This workshop will be led by choreographer Bec Reid and Tristan Meecham is suitable for all ages—come learn some new moves at MPavilion to take home with you.

The routine taught is the audience participation element to the main Fun Run event taking place on 12 March. A work in homage to the Greek messenger Pheidippides which will feature a 42 kilometre/ five hour run—dancers on stage and participating audience members (that could be you!) performing as a flash mob, united to help Tristan go the full 42 kilometres.  This project premiered in 2010 at Next Wave and has been doing great things round the world ever since.

Check out the how-to below and bring your moves along to MPavilion!

‘Fun Run’ is the fourth project from Arts Centre Melbourne’s Betty Amsden Participation Program. It is supported by VicHealth in association with Circus Oz.
