Megan Evans

Megan Evans is an interdisciplinary artist, working in video, photography, sculpture, and installation. These media build on a background in the traditional mediums of painting and drawing. Megan’s work is informed by social issues. It examines the nature of belonging and the impact of colonisation on identity of both self and nation. Her early work involved large scale murals in the 1980s that were socially engaged and political in nature. This has been an abiding theme in her practice over 30 years
