Benjamin Hancock

Benjamin Hancock is a Melbourne-based dancer and choreographer. He graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 2008 with a Bachelor of Dance.

Benjamin has worked with some of Australia’s leading choreographers in contemporary dance. His recent performance credits include The Dark Chorus with Lucy Guerin Inc at Melbourne Festival, Hiromi Tango and Dylan Martorell’s Wrapped at Public Art Melbourne’s Biennial Lab; and I Can Eat Glass presented by Belle Bassin at Heide Gallery.

As a solo performer he has presented work for Kirsha Kaechele at MONA Gallery and Prospect 3, New Orleans Biennale; Chunky Move’s Next Move work Princess, Melbourne Now at National Gallery of Victoria, and the Lucy Guerin Inc production Pieces For Small Spaces.

Benjamin has also engaged with the performance and club scene for a number of years. Collaborations continue with SUPPLEFOX, Dark MOFO Festival Hobart, The Arbory Bar and Eatery and Projekt 3488 Warburton.
