Program
MPavilion is an event hub, a meeting place, a temporary landmark, a spontaneous detour and a starting point. We collaborate with thinkers, doers and makers to bring you a free four-month program of talks, workshops, performances and installations from October 2016 to February 2017. MPavilion’s 2016 program has been put together by creative director Robert Buckingham, deputy creative director Jessie French and associate producer Jennifer Zielinska.
We invite you to explore the many series of our summer program. MTalks are just that—leading minds coming together for heady talks, panels, speeches and all-in chats on architecture, design and more! MMusic is all about music, and sometimes not as you know it—explorations into aural sensations. MMeets is where our unique clubhouse comes to life—you, your friends, and a troupe of makers and creators. MKids is for little tykes and adults alike.
MTalks
Explore the role of architecture and design in contemporary city life with special guests and collaborators from Melbourne and beyond. Running from October to February, MTalks puts leading minds behind the mic and invites them to investigate new ideas. Panellists include acclaimed architect and MPavilion designer Bijoy Jain, MPavilion’s patron Naomi Milgrom, and a whole host of design luminaries.
MProjects
MProjects exist at MPavilion for an enduring time span. Always captivating, MProjects events are unique, site-specific installations and activations at our place in the Queen Victoria Gardens.
MMeets
MMeets, say hello to our 2016/17 season! We’re hosting a third series of free, unexpected gatherings that invite Melburnians to use MPavilion as a clubhouse, a meeting place and a starting point—and explore the value and impact of design and creativity. Meet up with us, your friends and a troupe of makers and creators.
MMusic
MMusic is back for 2016/17 with a series of free shows, sets, workshops and admittedly hard-to-define aural experiences presented in collaboration with Melbourne artists, DJs and experimenters.
MKids
MKids is back for our 2016/17 season! We have marked out all the fun and relaxed, kid-friendly events in our program, including those that are specifically suited to kids and kids at heart.

Events at MPavilion related to architecture attract one CPD point for attending the event or listening to the audio recording.
